The hard and hardy nomads of the Mongolian Steppe.

Just before the pandemic started I led an expedition to the far reaches of Western Mongolia to see whether a nomadic eagle hunting tribe needed headshots for their LinkedIn profiles...

But in all seriousness, I've been fascinated by these nomads since I first heard about them in a BBC documentary. When the opportunity came up to visit them I went. The trip was too short, we had but a few days with them and I swore by hook or by crook I would come back.

Life is tough but these are tough people, warm people on the frozen tundra. I felt their faces were a reflection of this life, weather-worn but joyous and warm. This is a snapshot of some of the people living in the remotest parts of the earth.
